Luxe La Mère Backpack Grand

Almost, so nearly perfect. I looked high and low for a new diaper bag with my second pregnancy. I finally setteled on wanting a full grain leather bag (sorry cows!) and this design and style immediatley caught my eye. I compared it to other full grain popular leather diaper bags and this won by a mile when it came to aesthetics. It is BEAUTIFUL, I get so many compliments, which helps because I have never spent so much money on a bag before! I was nervous about it being too big, but with my 2nd on the way I knew I wanted as much room as possible and it doesn't feel too big at all. In addition to the design, a big pro for me, which may seem trivial, was the fact that the "Azaria" logo on the front of the bag was not front and center as it is with a lot of bags. I personally just find it tacky and cant stand it when logos take up so much space on a bag. It is very tastefully embossed in the bottom corner. That was honestly a big selling point for me. It has a great amount of space for everything I need and plenty of pockets to stay organized with all the new baby and toddler items I will soon be dragging around. The 2 things that would have made this bag simply perfect: (1)The inner lining is not easy to clean, its more of a cotton fabric and is cannot be easily wiped down. I think it could start to really show wear after a while. If there was a more wipeable/water resistant fabric or even removable inner lining that would really set this bag apart. (2) No insulated bottle holders. This was kind of a bummer to me but it didnt stop me from buying. Regardless of the two "cons" above, it really is a beautiful bag that I know I will carry well beyond its life as a diaper/toddler bag. My mom has passed down many beautiful leather bags from her youth and I can see myself doing the same with this bag when my daugher is older!

Long story short, I love this bag. However, I am extremely disappointed that after just a few months of use the leather is tearing at the seam on the shoulder strap.

Love this bag so much it fits everything I need for my two babies under two and it is so stylish and has so many pocket and is perfect for everything I need it for.

Here is my beauty. This is the best diaper bag/purse I have ever owned. The quality is unbelievable amazing and the inside compartments are just perfect. It is very comfortable considering how heavy it is due to the full grain leather. I have personalized it a bit with a different strap but the original one is so beautiful too, I use it with other bags. I definitely recommend it. It is pricey, yes, but you can use it forever or resell it at a great price.

I have wanted this bag for several years. I originally bought the La Mere in Cognac and adored the inside lining of "Creamy neutral vegan leather lining (Dusty Rose lining in Chestnut)". That lining is not available in the Luxe La Mere Grand, which was a bit disappointing. It is actually cotton/linen blend. Please advise if you have any full grain leather bags with the creamy inner lining. Thank you, Christina

I’m in loveee with this bag!! So happy I purchased it. I did so much research on baby bags and finally landed on this one. The price point is high but the quality is nice and I think I will get use out of it for many years. My baby isn’t here yet but I’ve been using it for weekend trips and have gotten so many compliments.

I was hoping based on the description and pictures that this would be a big enough bag for my twins on the way but alas it isn’t. It’s much smaller than the pictures. A gorgeous bag and quality leather but definitely not big enough for twins.

Perfect bag! Its not only beautiful, but really functional. I've got 4 young kids so my bag needs to carry a plethora of items for different ages and stages. This bag has a space for all of my things, and then home. I also like that it doesn't look like a diaper bag and I could use it for years post-kids.

This is the fourth bag I have purchased from Azaria, and I love it the best! I use it daily on my to and from school/workday. I can fit everything I need into it without having to carry two or three bags back and forth. The feel of it is absolutely one of the softest leathers I have ever encountered. I have had it for a while now and it is wearing wonderfully, looks great. Best purchase ever!

I adore this bag. I’m a mom of seven & I was on the lookout for the perfect bag to carry around alllllllll my stuff when I’m out & about with my family. This one really fits the bill! I can fit diapers, wipes, burp cloths, spare outfits for my infant & toddler, sun hats, a first aid kit, homeopathy kits, a ring sling, my water bottle, a sippy cup, & my clutch, which holds my wallet, sunglasses, keys, hair pins & bands, lip gloss, & mini notepad & pen. The leather is beautiful & soft, & the bag looks elegant whether it’s slung over one shoulder or on both. I love that I finally have a bag that’s both big enough (without looking clunky & frumpy) & very chic.

Beautiful leather bag! I got the vintage leather in the cognac color. I love how stylish it is and how it doesn’t look like a diaper bag. The leather is good quality and it is spacious. Cons are the zipper could be smoother. It can be difficult to open around the corners. The leather is a bit stiff which can make it hard to use the side pockets when the bag is packed. Despite the cons I still recommend this bag and I plan on buying the petite size in vintage black once it’s back in stock!

I believe this bag is most famous for young moms as a diaper bag. While my baby making factory has been closed for many years, I still need a durable, spacious bag with compartments to organize glasses, keys, a tablet and at times my laptop too. This works perfectly. When fully loaded, it can feel heavy to pick up but once it's on my shoulders, the weight is well distributed and I can carry it all day without my back hurting. Highly recommend if you need/want to carry a lot of "stuff".

Absolutely love my backpack. One day day it’s a traveling diaper back pack then the next day I switch it for work! So versatile and trendy!

I just don’t love the changes made to the new luxe. I have had several of the older versions I closing my petite luxe In photo. The new leather is more of a brandy color, super soft almost a microfiber feel- and the lining is softer and whiter. Many love it- I don’t. The customer service was great however and I’m back to the older, stiffer, classic Azaria leather they have been known for.

Diaper bag is great and everything I needed. I went through a cheaper diaper bag and then a bookbag before. Neither of them worked very well. The diaper bag was too big and the bookbag did not have enough flexibility. I wish I had just purchased this one to begin with. Even though the Azaria one is on the bigger side it's nowhere near as clunky. Really great product.

I own multiple bags, including designer. Range is Hermes and Chanel to jujube and lily jade. This bag is AMAZING! I was hesitant to pull the trigger based on different reviews and features. I can’t say enough how much I like this bag. For size, the grand doesn’t look huge at all. I’m 5 foot flat! And it doesn’t look big at all. I was nervous about that and I was between the grand and original size since I’m short. Glad I went with the grand. Doesn’t look big but totally packs a ton! For exterior features, zippers are smooth, leather pulls are beautiful and luxurious, pockets aren’t tight at all and functional even when inside is packed (maybe due to its size?). The leather itself is so beautiful. I would have preferred vintage - which I have in the clutch- but the milled is just as beautiful. It’s still pretty matte to me if that’s something you’re worried about. It’s soft and buttery but structured and holds it shape. In regards to weight, leather bags are always heavy. It is what it is. But on the back, this bag is NOT and I’m an over packer! It’s so comfortable, the straps don’t dig, they have a bit of cushion to them. They’re easy to adjust as well. It’s not as fast as a slider adjuster but these are still quick and easy and stay in their place better since they can’t move when lugging the bag around. For the interior, the inside isn’t scratchy. It’s beautiful. The pockets are all functional and so spacious. This is my first bag from Azaria, and I love it so much I think I need all the sizes! I fully recommend it!

I love my Milled Grand diaper bag! It fits everything I need and more. I originally bought the original size and exchanged for thr grand and I love the grand so much more. everything fits just right without it feeling overly crowded or tight. It has lots of pockets. Im 5'3 medium frame and the bag is perfect it does not look huge. I love the milled leather because its an even and doesnt change color also it doesnt sag it sits upright. but thats my personal preference. The only cons I have is the straps arent quick to change size. My husband is a big guy 5'11 and hes not allowed to help me with the bag because the straps aren't big enough fit around him I dont want him to ruin it lol also the bag is a bit on the heavy size. But overall I love this bag Its elegant, its like a diaper purse! definitely my favorite!!

This bag has been life changing! The size, the quality, it’s unbeatable. I shopped around for what seemed like forever before I chose this bag and I’m SO glad I did!!! I use all the space, my toddler is very spirited and needs all the snacks and toys we own anytime we go anywhere lol. This bag has honestly been perfect!!! The longer I own it the more I love it.

This bag is even more gorgeous in person. I was worried that Grand would looks too big, but it’s not - it’s perfection. I’ve been looking for something classic that will last me through multiple children and I can continue to use long after using as a diaper bag. I'm so glad I splurged and got this bag! I love it so much. We can fit everything we need in it and it's still easy to find items. We will use this for many years to come.
