I could not be more happy with this bag. It is truly gorgeous. It’s so nice to find timeless bags that will last, not just trendy. I love that the straps are a buckle style so can be adjusted easily. The quality is incredible and well worth the extra price. The packaging was also very well done. More designs in this full grain leather would be amazing, especially the camera bag!

I’ve had my bag for almost 3 years exactly. I’ve loved it for the most part. I use it as a purse. My main issue is that the quality hasn’t held up over time. The straps do not hold their adjusted length, so multiple times a day I have to re-tighten the straps. This was an issue even when I first got the bag. The zipper pulls and top strap edging are coming apart and fraying. These might seem like small issues but I paid a lot more to get the La Mere Petite Luxe instead of the original La Mere Petite, so I would have expected better quality and for it to hold up better.

I wish it was a bit larger. I don’t like the zip top. When it is sitting on something solid, it zips well. When I’m holding it, such as when I’m out shopping, it is nearly impossible to zip closed.

Absolutely love the quality of this diaper bag! We wanted something that was real leather, not faux, and were willing to pay the extra for the “luxe” to get that.
I was also looking for something a bit smaller than a lot of the options out there, because I have a petite frame and didn’t want it to be overpowering. This is the perfect size!! And still has more than enough space for everything we will need. Plus, we won’t shove it full of things “just because there is extra room.”
Can’t speak to the longevity quite yet, because we haven’t used it with baby yet. However, it seems extremely well-made, high-quality and like it will wear/patina well. Especially with regular upkeep and leather care, we expect to get lots of years out of this bag.
Also, it’s gender neutral enough that hubs can carry too, if needed! Win!

Very happy I went for it!
I went out on a limb and got both the luxe Fanny Pack and this La Mère Petite at the same time. I was a bit nervous, but I am happy to report that I love my bags!!
I had been on the lookout for a nice tech bag for a long time and that’s how I’m using the La Mère Petite. It fits my 13” iPad Pro w/ Magic Keyboard (although not in the padded pocket) and has room for chargers, headphones, paper notebooks, bits and bobs etc.
For me it works perfect, and I value the compact size because most of the time I wear as a shoulder bag and this size is very manageable for that. If I planned to use it primarily as a backpack for longer day trips (to pack an extra sweater etc.) I might have gone for the original size. Who knows, I may come back for the Grand to use as a weekender bag, or as an actual diaper bag.
Finally on that note: if I hadn’t recently become a mom, I probably would’ve never discovered these bags. Because these bags are marketed as “diaper bags,” I was concerned that the interior would feel cheap and waterproof, like the inside of a wet bag. Happily, this is not the case. My one friend (childless) admired the bag, and when I explained where I got it, she complained, “why do you have to be a mom before they’ll design you something that’s both stylish AND functional”… so yeah!! great little bag, not just a diaper bag

But I find the bag to be very stiff so hopefully the leather softens over time and also the color was a bit different than I was expecting.

First of all I do not have a baby. I was looking for a full grain leather backpack I could use for traveling as a purse. I had certain wants in a backpack. I wanted a bag that had pockets both on the inside and out for organization. I wanted full grain leather. I wanted a u-shaped top opening. I wanted to be able to carry it other ways besides just a backpack. For some reason this "diaper bag" showed up on my search and I am so happy it did! It is perfect! The leather is beautiful. I love the zipper pulls. The pockets are useful. I absolutely love everything about this backpack. It is very comfortable on my back and I love the way it sits on my back. This will be my travel companion for many trips for many years I feel. The quality of the stitching is perfect! I did not find one loose thread or weird stitch. This bag is worth every single penny!

For a whole week I couldn’t stop staring at this bag, it’s ridiculous how much I love it. Use this as a diaper bag for my first baby and it’s amazing! Contemplating if I should have got the original instead of petite for when kid number two comes but for now the petite is perfect size! Functional and classy. 10/10

I’m not one to usually write reviews but this bag came in the mail yesterday and it’s absolutely beautiful. The quality is amazing! My daughter is 3 months old and I’m pretty much exclusively breastfeeding (so I don’t need to bring a bunch of bottles while we’re out) and I really think the size is going to work well for us! It fits everything I need for her and a few things for myself. So happy with our purchase!

This bag is absolutely gorgeous! Love the newer leather, love the size but I dislike the lining. Hoping it’s something that will change in the future. Also, when I received my bag It didn’t come with any wrapping or any plastic bag on the outside, the stitching at top was wonky and it had loose threads. When I emailed costumer service for a second I felt as if I was being annoying to them. I ordered a full size previously and it arrived with some flaws, I returned it and ordered this one. When this arrived I was disappointed at how it arrived when I emailed to complain I was told that they didn’t feel comfortable exchanging bags for me until I found my “perfect bag”. I have only returned 1 bag and it was because it had obvious flaws so I didn’t like when I was told that. Nonetheless I absolutely love Azaria functionality, leather and the look of the bags. Costumer service could be a little better. I have since bought other items from the company without issue.

This is my second Azaria Luxe bag. I have the petite and the original. I talked myself out of the petite for so long and I’m so glad I finally pulled the trigger. It’s so nice to have for quick trips to the store. It’s also a perfect “toddler” sized bag. 10/10 would recommend.

The petite luxe has been my favorite diaper bag I have owned thus far. It is super light weight and with it being real leather, I am not worried about it chipping. The size is perfect due to the fact that I am a minimalist packer.

I wanted to love this and have my unicorn bag, but it was just too stiff to pack in the outside pockets. I loved the look, leather and the inside material, but there are just too many other bag brands with real leather that are easier to pack, and lighter, thus making them more functional. The size was also a little too small and I think the key clip should have been real leather like the rest of the bag and not seatbelt material. I'm not sure how the faux leather is holding up these days, but I couldn't do that one either because the inside feel is too plastic-like. Again, I wanted to like that one too.

It's about as perfect as I expected! It has way more room than I imagined it would (one of those large folding toddler toilet seats will fit in here, so awesome for potty training!), with the pockets not even being as tight as i was afraid they would be, super functional. I only gave 4 stars this time around because of the new design of the backpack straps (i.e. it has thinner non padded straps unlike the original luxe) which while still managing to be super comfortable when the bag is packed really full, are not as fancy as the original designed straps, and are kind of a bummer. Overall I enjoy this bag immensely, its design is every bit as perfection as my original luxe bag! 100% recomend for any mamas who maybe aren't packing as much as they used to, are super minimalistic packers, or even non-mamas who just want a super well made and functional backpack style purse.

This has been on my wish list since before it’s existence. Needless to say, hopes and expectations were high. This bag FAR surpassed my wildest imaginings! If I had been able to design a bag from start to finish and source the leather myself, I wouldn’t have picked anything more suited to me. I squealed upon opening the box, in awe of the delicious wrinkles in the top flap and all of the character I found throughout. The qualities is exactly what I anticipated and the comfort is beyond what I thought possible. I wore this out on a five mile hike, packed for my cloth diapered 5 month old baby girl and my six and seven year old boys. It was not once a bother or source of discomfort. I whole heartedly recommend this bag for every active mom looking for quality, comfort and style!

The bag itself is awesome. I love the color, the size, and the leather! I also love the key strap since I lose my keys in my bags allll the time.
I am giving four stars since I was under the impression that the petite came with padded straps like the full size version does. I couldn't find any info anywhere on the internet saying otherwise so I was expecting padded straps, which it does not have. I think adding that detail in the description would be nice since none of the pictures show the straps well. The straps don't hurt thankfully.
It is a great bag in general and I'd definitely recommend it! Just think the description should be more clear.

I finally purchased this after eyeing it for a while. I was not disappointed once it arrived. The leather is beautiful and unique. Everything feels like high quality. I did have to condition/weatherproof the bag because it doesn’t come that way but it wasn’t a problem. The only thing I would complain about is I don’t like how the shoulder straps just hang down if I make it tighter, because I am a more petite person. Completely happy with my purchase!

I wish it were a bit lighter (understandably hard b/c real leather) and the pockets were a bit larger or more flexible. Some of the inside pockets are so tiny and hard to fit anythign into. Also the side pockets are hard to fit anything into as well b/c the leather is so tight.

This is the first leather bag that I've ever had and I'm SO in love! it's beautiful! I got the newer version of the petite luxe. I chose it over the bigger version since I wanted to start packing more minimally. When I first opened it I was nervous that it would be too small but once I packed it I found I was able to fit everything I needed for 2 kids under 3; diapers for 1, wipes, an extra change of clothes for both kids, snacks for both kids, sunscreen, my wallet, phone, keys, a pen and a small makeup bag. The only negatives for me were that one of the metal feet on the bag was cracked upon arrival. It bummed me out but not enough to write customer service about it. Also it's a little stiff but I really don't mind since I like how it feels structured. Overall a beautiful bag that I'll be able to use even out of the diaper bag phase.
